What powers the charge to change? At Zapgo it’s our energetic team of EV innovators working to transform and challenge the existing charging experience. With a combination of passion, industry expertise and a desire to make a positive impact on our environment and communities, our team hold a shared vision of a better, greener, brighter future. Here’s what they have to say.
Tom joined Zapgo in April 2024 from bp pulse, where he spent four years as Head of Data & Analytics. Prior to this, Tom worked in analytics roles across various industries, including retail and energy. At Zapgo, Tom is responsible for bringing a data-driven approach to critical areas such as site selection and operational reliability. Tom believes in the power of data for better decision-making, and he feels privileged to play a role at Zapgo in the transition to net zero.
A clear and well-defined strategy focussed on rapid charging in underserved areas. Lots of charging providers try to be a lot of things to a lot of people, and it usually doesn’t go well. From a selfish perspective, we’ve been putting data at the heart of what we do from day one. This is so exciting – we have a lot of expertise and experience, and we marry this with the power of data.
I want us to successfully execute our strategy and bring EV charging to areas that either don’t have enough of it, or none at all. Do this right, and we’ll be the go-to name for public charging in these areas. I’d love us to be seen as pioneers for bringing charging to underserved areas; I firmly believe that if you have the infrastructure, then the EV uptake comes quickly after.
We have an awesome responsibility. We’re part of the mission to cool the planet. Without public charging that people can trust and which they are confident in using, we’ll never have the uptake in EVs that we need to make a positive climate impact.
With three decades developing and building out major transformational infrastructures in the UK and overseas behind him, Steve brings unrivalled experience and knowledge to the Zapgo team. Working in the EV industry since 2020, Steve is hugely motivated by playing his part in the Net Zero movement and ensuring a greener future for the next generation.
Being part of the Zapgo team is a privilege as we enter the market in a unique and innovative way. We can really drive new thinking, whether it be in site design, leading the way in terms of charging accessibility or simply just seeing first-hand how a team of individuals can come together. The future for Zapgo and its team is bright!
In every community and every destination that currently is being ignored. A lack of destination charging, and infrastructure seriously inhibits EV take-up. At Zapgo we can, and will, change this.
Quite simply to ensure the future of my children and their children is one where the air is cleaner, and lives and the planet are positively impacted.
Jo Moffatt joined Zapgo in January 2024 from Osprey Charging where she was Head of Network Operations. Jo has worked in the EV industry since 2018 and has seen the industry grow rapidly. Prior to this, Jo has worked across charge point operators and charger manufacturers giving her a cross-section view of the entire EV landscape. Jo is a firm believer that listening to and evaluating customer feedback will strongly enhance Zapgo’s offering and ensure any issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
The excitement of starting from nothing and influencing and growing the network. We have achieved so much in such a short space of time whilst continually looking to the future and how we improve the EV charging landscape!
I want Zapgo to listen to EV drivers - really listen to their needs and ideas and work with them to grow both Zapgo and the uptake of EV's.
I want to be a part of the change into cleaner air and protecting the next generation. Having EV chargers in the ground as frequently as petrol stations gives the public the confidence to make the switch.
